“The mission of the Social Justice Fair at Elizabethtown College is to create a vibrant space where individuals from all walks of life can come together to celebrate and advocate for a world guided by principles of peace, non-violence, social justice, and human dignity,” Elizabethtown College Assistant Director for Learning Zone, Eugene Thomas said.

A collaboration between Etown’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Belonging (DEB), the Center for Community and Civic Engagement (CCCE), and Title IX, the Fair will feature academic workshops with speakers from diverse backgrounds who will facilitate conversations rooted in social justice issues. Live music will be available along with a moderated afternoon “lunch and learn” conversation with both Etown alumni and current students.

Several on-campus organizations participating in the Fair include Etown Admissions, Student Health, the Social Work program, the Center for Student Success, and more. Off-campus organizations include the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Water Street Mission, Domestic Violence Services of Lancaster, and more.

The Social Justice Fair will also feature the opportunity to visit Etown’s on-campus labyrinth, a meandering path of soil and rocks that symbolize an area of self-reflection and meditation. Located on the southern end of campus, along the walking path to the Bowers Writers House, the labyrinth is available for public use.
