The Blue Jay community came together in support of the Elizabethtown College experience for a record-breaking Power of One Day, Etown’s annual 24-hour day of giving, on Tuesday, March 19. The outpouring of generosity led to 2,022 gifts from alumni, students, faculty, staff, friends, and families from around the world, raising a total of $675,087 – both new Power of One Day records.
This year was the 10th edition of Power of One Day and provided opportunities for donors to give to the programs, people, and priorities they are most passionate about, including scholarships, academic schools and departments, athletic teams, and more. Highlights included donors from 36 states spanning alumni and students across 86 class years.
This year’s edition of Power of One Day featured fun giveaways and incentives including Elizabethtown College Store gift cards, dinner with President Betty Rider, and the promise of select faculty and staff getting pied in the face.
