Recently, Elizabethtown College’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS) partnered with the Elizabethtown Fire Department, joining Lancaster EMS, York Area United Fire & Rescue, and the City of Lancaster (Bureau of Police) as the latest group of first responders supported by SGPS through a 15% tuition discount on educational programs that enhance the skills and professional development of first responders, as well as their spouses and dependents.

“Our first responders are some of the most valuable contributors to our community, so I’m thrilled that Elizabethtown College has become so closely aligned with them to build onto their success and give back to them these incredible educational benefits and opportunities,” Elizabethtown College SGPS Director of Corporate Partnerships, Chris D’Imperio said. “We look forward to working with and supporting our first responders for many years to come.”

The tuition discount will apply to SGPS undergraduate and graduate-level programs, as well as the micro-credentialing platform Etown Edge, which offers over 300 affordable courses through self-paced modules across a variety of in-demand fields.

For more than 70 years, SGPS has had a direct and positive impact on the workforce and economy of both Lancaster County and throughout the South-Central Pennsylvania region by offering convenient and flexible undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as micro-credential options specifically designed to meet the needs of busy working adults. Courses are taught by faculty who are working professionals in the fields in which they teach, ensuring that content is current and highly applicable.

SGPS works together with corporate, educational, and community partners from around the region to help build a powerful workforce and advance the careers of learners through the affinity partner program. Learn more about Elizabethtown College’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies.
