Elizabethtown College will welcome Sekou Kaalund on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. in Leffler Chapel and Performance Center for the annual Carper Lecture. Kaalund is the Executive Vice President & Head of Branch and Small Business Banking for U.S. Bank and will present Leading for Sustainable Community Impact, a thought-provoking keynote on the need for large institutions to have an active presence in communities. His lecture will also shed light on how strategizing growth, developing talent, and forming inclusive teams can have a major impact on organizations of all kinds.

With more than two decades of Wall Street experience, Sekou Kaalund has a proven track record of achieving revenue growth and developing highly profitable client relationships in start-up, turnaround, and scale businesses. His unique background spans leadership experiences in staff and line roles across institutional and retail businesses. He has developed market strategies, managed strategic business transactions, and led complex organizations.

Sekou Kaalund recently joined U.S. Bank in a newly created role as the head of branch banking, a leadership role within Consumer & Business Banking responsible for the 2,200+ branches, as well as the consumer and small business bankers, spread out across 26 states.
