An upcoming art exhibition at Elizabethtown College, “In Light of Color,” brings together 10 artists that consider the nuances of color through unique styles of painting.

From Feb. 9 to March 23, 2023, this new exhibit will be free and open to the public to view in Lyet Gallery, located on the second floor of the Leffler Chapel and Performance Center. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.

Associate Professor of Art Kristi Arnold curated the exhibit from artists she’s met and admired throughout her career.

“I began working on this exhibition about a year ago,” Arnold said. “I wanted to showcase artists that explore color in a unique way.”

The exhibit features work from Amy Chan, Eric Conrad, Douglas Degges, Brad Guarino, Amber Hansen, Andrea Wohl Keefe, Amy Kligman, John O’Donnell, Magdalena Pawlowski, and Anthony Pinata. These featured artists are located around the U.S., including California, Kansas, Connecticut, South Dakota, and Pennsylvania.

The opening reception for the new exhibit will be held on Feb. 9, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m. in Lyet Gallery in Leffler Chapel and Performance Center.
