Elizabethtown College Fellow in The Writing Wing, Richard Fellinger, has been shortlisted for a Page Turner Award for his novel-in-progress, “An American Girl.”

His latest novel tells the story of a single mom battling the book banners on her local school board. Recently, Fellinger was notified that the novel is a finalist for a Writing Mentorship Award which offers mentoring to the winners during the completion of the novel.

Fellinger is an award-winning author and former journalist. He’s the author of the novels, “Summer of ’85,” “Made to Break Your Heart,” and the story collection, “They Hover Over Us,” winner of the Serena McDonald Kennedy Award. He is also a Pushcart Prize nominee and winner of the 2008 Flash Fiction Contest at Red Cedar Review.
