Five Elizabethtown College students joined Professor of Sociology Michele Lee Kozimor ’93 at the 92nd Annual Meeting of the Eastern Sociological Society (ESS) in Boston, Mass. on Saturday, March 12.
Emma Nalesnik ’23, Cecilia Stoner ’22, and Elizabeth Zeiber ’22 each received a Student Research Travel Grant from Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honor Society to present at the conference, while Professor Kozimor also received a Chapter Representative Travel Grant from Alpha Kappa Delta for serving as the faculty advisor and mentor.
Three students presented research papers in the undergraduate poster session. Elizabeth Zeiber ‘22 earned the Best Research Paper award, as well as being recognized during the ESS Presidential Address and Awards Ceremony.

- Nyvani Molina ’23, Emma Nalesnik ’23, Cecilia Stoner ’22, and Elizabeth Zeiber ’22 volunteered at the ESS conference registration table.
- Professor Kozimor, Dr. Barbara Prince ’12 (Assistant Professor of Sociology at Lebanon Valley College) Cecilia Stoner ’22, and Courtney Metz from Lebanon Valley College, organized and facilitated “Demystifying the Publishing Process in Teaching Sociology” Workshop.
