Elizabethtown College’s Office of Campus Recreation and Well-Being (RecWell) is celebrating Accessibility Week, from February 6-11. The week will feature events emphasizing different ways that the campus community can foster accessibility and inclusion.

“Our goal is to get everyone talking, thinking, and learning about inclusivity regardless of ability,” Director of the Bowers Center for Sports, Fitness and Well-Being Whitney Crull said.

Sitting Volleyball Tournament | Sunday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. | Bowers Center Fieldhouse
RecWell will be hosting a one-day Sitting Volleyball Tournament in the Bowers Center Fieldhouse! Get a team of six Jays together and register on IMLeages.com/etown from now until Feb. 4! Prizes will be awarded to the winning team!

Cat Cow and Casseroles | Monday, Feb. 7 at 8 a.m. | Bowers Center Group Fitness Room
Join instructor Jenn Azevedo for a morning yoga class in the Bowers Center Group Fitness Room! This class will incorporate chairs, blocks, blankets, and straps to allow for a variety of access to the benefits of yoga. After your morning yoga class, Joni Eisenhauer will be creating breakfast casseroles in the Demo Kitchen! The food demo will follow at 9 a.m. A variety of casseroles will be available for several diets. Learn about how to modify ingredients to meet your dietary needs. Make a Sensory Bin | Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 11 a.m to 4 p.m. | Bowers Center Demo Kitchen
Stop by the Demo Kitchen between 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. to create a themed sensory bin with the provided supplies! All of the bins that are created that day will be donated to local elementary schools, daycares and pediatric facilities!

Sign Language Basics | Wednesday, Feb.  9  at 4:15 p.m. | Bowers Center Classroom
Learn the basics of sign language with ASL Adjunct Professor Karen Conrad. The ASL club will also be present to provide useful information! Pre-registration is required, and spots are limited. Sign up by emailing recwell@etown.edu.

SOUPerbowl Food Pairings | Thursday, Feb. 10 at 5 p.m. | Bowers Center Demo Kitchen
It’s “soup”er bowl time! Get ready for the big game this weekend by learning how to cook two types of soup. In addition to learning new recipes, participants will have the opportunity to engage in activities related to utilizing taste, touch, and smell. Register by emailing eisenhauerj@etown.edu.
