Elizabethtown College announced it will extend the deposit deadline to June 1 for new students enrolling for the in-person fall 2021 semester. The fall 2021 semester begins on Monday, August 23.
“While we encourage students to make their official declaration as soon as they are ready to make the commitment to Etown, we also want to offer families flexibility during these challenging times,” Elizabethtown College President Cecilia M. McCormick, J.D. said. “Our admissions team creates a seamless enrollment process helping families through every step of the way, so we can ensure our new students fully understand the exceptional education and long-term worth they will gain as a Blue Jay.”
With enrollment rising, the College has successfully held in-person class instruction this past year both during the fall 2020 and spring 2021 semesters as well as offered a remote option for students who chose to study in a virtual format due to the pandemic. More than 70-percent of the student body opted for in-person class instruction with the majority living on campus during both semesters.
“Our students have a strong desire to be on campus, and we have been able to successfully remain on campus this past year because of the consistent compliance of our health and safety guidelines from students, faculty, and staff,” McCormick said.
The College will accept deposits now through Tuesday, June 1 for the fall 2021 semester. On-campus tours and individualized meetings with admissions counselors are currently being offered and can be scheduled on etown.edu.
