Elizabethtown College Fellow in the Writing Wing, Richard Fellinger, has recently been shortlisted for The Letter Review Prize for Unpublished Books for his novel manuscript, “An American Girl.”

His novel tells the story of a single mom, a book ban, and a town in turmoil. The novel-in-progress was also shortlisted for a Page Turner Writing Mentorship Award in 2022.

Fellinger is an award-winning author and former journalist. He’s the author of the novels, “Summer of ’85,” “Made to Break Your Heart,” and the story collection, “They Hover Over Us,” winner of the Serena McDonald Kennedy Award. He is also a Pushcart Prize nominee and winner of the 2008 Flash Fiction Contest at Red Cedar Review.
