Elizabethtown College announced it will extend the deposit deadline to June 1 for new students enrolling for the in-person fall 2021 semester. The fall 2021 semester begins on Monday, August 23.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile we encourage students to make their official declaration as soon as they are ready to make the commitment to Etown, we also want to offer families flexibility during these challenging times,\u201d Elizabethtown College President Cecilia M. McCormick, J.D. said. \u201cOur admissions team creates a seamless enrollment process helping families through every step of the way, so we can ensure our new students fully understand the exceptional education and long-term worth they will gain as a Blue Jay.\u201d<\/p>\n
With enrollment rising, the College has successfully held in-person class instruction this past year both during the fall 2020 and spring 2021 semesters as well as offered a remote option for students who chose to study in a virtual format due to the pandemic. More than 70-percent of the student body opted for in-person class instruction with the majority living on campus during both semesters.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur students have a strong desire to be on campus, and we have been able to successfully remain on campus this past year because of the consistent compliance of our health and safety guidelines from students, faculty, and staff,\u201d McCormick said.<\/p>\n
