College hosts exhibit and speaker from LGBT Center of central Pennsylvania<\/i><\/p>\n
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion hosts an informational exhibit \u201cThe Long Road to LGBTQ+ Equality in Pennsylvania\u201d created by the LGBT Center about the struggles and achievements of activists within Pennsylvania. The exhibit is displayed in the Winters Alcove Display room in the High Library and is available to view Thursday, Oct. 24 to Tuesday, Oct. 29 during normal library hours.<\/p>\n
The exhibit tells the story of Pennsylvania\u2019s fight for LGBTQ+ rights. According to the LGBT Center, the exhibit highlights \u201cthe efforts that activists have undertaken in Pennsylvania to achieve full equality for LGBTQ+ people…through historical narrative, photographs and video of oral history first person accounts of activists.\u201d\u00a0Throughout the past 50 years, activists struggled to gain shelter within communities from physical harassment, assault, arson and bombings.
