Recently, Elizabethtown College was recognized as one of <\/span>Money\u2019s 2026 Best Colleges in America<\/span><\/a> – a practical analysis of the nation\u2019s higher-education institutions to help families make informed decisions based on affordability and outcomes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Etown ranked as a standout institution within the region by being one of just 15 private colleges in Pennsylvania with fewer than 5,000 students to receive four out of five stars.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBeing recognized by Money reflects our commitment to providing a transformative, affordable education that leads to meaningful outcomes for our students,\u201d Elizabethtown College President Betty Rider said. \u201cThrough personalized faculty mentorship, hands-on learning experiences, and impactful service opportunities, we don’t just prepare students for a job; we prepare them for a life of purpose.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Money starts with all of the four-year public and private nonprofit colleges in the country, a group that totals more than 2,400 and makes an initial cut based on factors such as enrollment numbers, graduation rate, the availability of sufficient, reliable data, and an institution\u2019s financial health.<\/span><\/p>\n

A total of 735 institutions that made the initial cut were then ranked based on 25 factors in three categories: <\/span>quality of education, affordability, and student outcomes<\/span><\/a>, and grouped into one of seven ratings, from 2 stars to 5 stars.<\/span><\/p>\n

Quality of Education<\/strong> \u2013 99% of Etown graduates had at least one faculty member who made them excited about learning, compared to 84% for the national average.<\/span><\/p>\n

Affordability<\/strong> \u2013 Etown\u2019s comprehensive aid program is a leader amongst similar private colleges in the region, as 99% of Etown students receive financial aid and $38 million is awarded annually in scholarships and grants.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Student Outcomes<\/strong> \u2013 91% of Etown graduates are employed or enrolled in advanced education within one year of graduation. 77% of graduates had an internship or job that allowed them to apply what they were learning in the classroom, compared to 60% for the national average.<\/span><\/p>\n
