Taylor Strader \u201926<\/p><\/div>\n

Two Elizabethtown College Engineering majors<\/a> were recently awarded Women in Tech scholarships from the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Munia Kamal \u201927 earned the $1,000 Traditional Scholarship, awarded annually to two women college students pursuing a degree in a technology-related field of study. Taylor Strader \u201926 earned the $2,000 Non-Traditional Scholarship, awarded to one non-traditional age woman enrolled in a full-time tech-related associate or bachelor\u2019s degree program.<\/p>\n

Strader, who is attending Etown while raising her two young sons, plans to pursue a career in aerospace mechanical design.<\/p>\n

\u201cElizabethtown College has given me the knowledge, confidence, and support to pursue my dreams in engineering,\u201d Strader said. \u201cThis scholarship inspires me to break barriers as a woman in technology and use my passion to make a meaningful impact in the engineering field.\u201d<\/p>\n

As President of Etown\u2019s Society of Women Engineers on campus, Kamal demonstrates her commitment to STEM. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in civil engineering and secure a job working on structures or bridges.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am passionate about using technology to create inclusive solutions that genuinely improve people\u2019s lives,\u201d Kamal said. \u201cBy combining technical expertise with a people-centered perspective, I hope to contribute meaningful advancements as a woman in tech.\u201d<\/p>\n
