Moore\u2019s first piece, \u201cDroll Servants and Lasting Friendships: How de Wilde\u2019s Emma<\/em> Updates Issues of Class<\/a>,\u201d is available online through the leading Jane Austen publication, Persuasions Online. The essay covers de Wilde\u2019s approach to friendship and interactions between servants throughout \u201cEmma.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore\u2019s latest essay, \u201cA Quirky, Colorful, Romantic Comedy for the Twenty-First Century: De Wilde\u2019s Emma (2020)\u201d was published in the collection \u201cRetelling Jane Austen: Essays on Recent Adaptations and Derivative Works.<\/a>\u201d It explores how de Wilde reworked Austen\u2019s story for today\u2019s fans of the romantic comedy genre.<\/p>\n

Moore serves as the co-coordinator for the Maryland region of the Jane Austen Society of North America.<\/a> She also leads Etown students on a study abroad tour in England<\/a> which explores the Bath region\u2019s influence on Austen and the English novelist\u2019s cottage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
