{"id":13389,"date":"2022-12-14T11:22:15","date_gmt":"2022-12-14T16:22:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.etown.edu\/?p=13389"},"modified":"2022-12-14T11:56:42","modified_gmt":"2022-12-14T16:56:42","slug":"elizabethtown-college-professor-publishes-article-in-journal-of-cleaner-production","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.etown.edu\/index.php\/2022\/12\/14\/elizabethtown-college-professor-publishes-article-in-journal-of-cleaner-production\/","title":{"rendered":"Elizabethtown College Professor Publishes Article in Journal of Cleaner Production"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Elizabethtown College Associate Professor of Management <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.etown.edu\/depts\/business\/faculty.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cristina Ciocirlan<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> recently had her peer-reviewed article, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S0959652622050454\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cHave me do, and I&#8217;ll always be true: Exploring the match between green employees and their jobs,\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> accepted for publication in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/journal\/journal-of-cleaner-production\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Journal of Cleaner Production (an Elsevier journal).\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;I am honored to be published in this peer-reviewed Elsevier journal,\u201d Ciocirlan said. \u201c I am happy to see that the research community is paying more and more attention to the unique traits of green employees and their behaviors in organizations. There is much more to be explored, and I feel tremendously fortunate to be able to contribute to this emerging and vital research field.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ciocirlan\u2019s article analyzes the match between green employees and their jobs, by addressing important questions, such as: Who are green employees? What do they care about? What happens when their values do not match organizational values?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI find that green employees are different than other employees, in that they have an environmental identity, a desire to help the environment through work, and strong ecological beliefs,\u201d Ciocirlan said. \u201cThese unique traits suggest that organizations must adapt by greening their job designs to improve person-job fit.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/journal\/journal-of-cleaner-production\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Journal of Cleaner Production<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is an international, transdisciplinary journal focusing on Cleaner Production, Environmental, and Sustainability research and practice.
