Skillen will officially begin his new role on June 15.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Skillen has been an integral member of the faculty at Etown since 2009 teaching various English courses and also offering his expertise on a national level through presentations and published articles. From 2007 to 2009 he served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Kansas State University and prior to that role he was a Middle School Language Arts Teacher from 2003 to 2007.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Kansas State University, and both a Masters of Arts in Teaching and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elizabethtown College announced the appointment of Dr. Matthew &#8220;Matt&#8221; Skillen as the Dean of Faculty &amp; Associate Provost for Student Learning at Elizabethtown College.
