Maureen Brown, Senior Director of the Career Development Center

Elizabethtown College’s Maureen Brown, Senior Director of the Career Development Center, has recently been elected to the Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers (EACE) Board of Directors. Brown will serve as Director, Member Services.

“I’m excited to step into this role with EACE and collaborate with leaders in both career development and early talent recruiting,” Brown said. “Being surrounded by professionals who are shaping the future of our field will allow me to bring valuable insights and best practices back to Elizabethtown College, strengthening how we support students in their career development. I’m proud to represent Etown in this work.”

In her role, Brown will be tasked with providing value-added services to members by strengthening connections between employers and colleges and ensuring member voices are represented in key conversations about services, programs, and resources.

EACE includes a network of nearly 2,000 career services and HR/recruiting professionals throughout the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region, which collaborate to foster relationships that empower colleges and employers to develop the future workforce.

Over the past seven years, Brown has served EACE in a variety of leadership roles, including co-chair of the Connections Committee, co-chair of the 2025 Annual Conference, and, currently, as co-chair of the Webinars and Virtual Programming Sub-Committee. She is a three-time recipient of the EACE Presidential Citation Award, which recognizes members who provide outstanding service to EACE.

Brown, who has led the College’s Career Development Center since 2023, has revamped the Center’s offerings by expanding its impact through growth, innovation, and a student-centered approach to career readiness.

The Center has consistently introduced new ways to meet students where they are and help them put career knowledge into action. In 2024, the Center launched the Career Action Plan, a dynamic, online, module-based program designed to guide students through professional preparation throughout college.
