Elizabethtown College’s Criminal Justice program is offering aspiring Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Troopers a flexible, accelerated path toward a fulfilling career through the recently launched 3+PSP Academy Program.
The new pathway allows students to complete three years of undergraduate coursework at Etown before gaining essential law enforcement experience through PSP Academy training and applying those credits toward a Criminal Justice degree.
“The 3 + PSP Academy initiative strengthens our Criminal Justice program by pairing Elizabethtown College’s academic excellence with professional training at the Pennsylvania State Police Academy,” Kadee Crandall, Elizabethtown College Director and Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, said. “It creates a clear pathway for students to pursue meaningful careers in public service while preparing ethical, well-educated law enforcement professionals who will lead with integrity and make a positive impact across the Commonwealth.”
Students majoring in Criminal Justice at Elizabethtown College receive quality courses, hands-on faculty mentorship, and real-world experiences in policing, courts, corrections, and victim services.
The program enhances students’ understanding of the criminal justice system in both college courses and criminal justice careers, preparing them for success in the field.
The 3+PSP Academy Program is the latest flexible pathway that Etown has offered in support of PSP Troopers. The School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS) also recently launched an online Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Law Enforcement program that allows eligible officers to receive 64 transfer credits for their academy training and professional experience.
