The Elizabethtown College School of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) faculty presented their innovative research and teaching methods at the 2025 American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Annual Conference in Montreal, Canada, this past June.

The group of four Etown ECS faculty presented nine peer-reviewed papers, which included the work of two additional faculty members who were not in attendance. Their papers focused on their innovative pedagogies and curricula, including mastery-based learning, work-integrated learning experiences, and socially-engaged design.

Research presented at the conference included:

At the conference, Dr. Atwood was also an invited speaker at an Interdivisional Town Hall discussion. The talk centered on enhancing the undergraduate student experience using the ASEE Engineering Mindset Report: Inclusive Mindset for the Future, of which she was a co-author. She also attended business meetings as an elected member of ASEE’s Engineering Deans Council Executive Board.

The ASEE Conference is the largest gathering of the year for ASEE members. Through this year’s theme, “Engineering Educators Bringing the World Together,” the event served as an opportunity to share individual and collective work in engineering education.
