Elizabethtown College’s Career Development Center recently held its third annual Careers in Sports event on March 27, hosting a panel of notable professionals in a variety of sports-related fields to share their experiences and advice with students.
“As an Exercise Science major beginning a graduate program in May, I take every opportunity I can to hear from professionals in the field,” Taylor Saba ’25 said. “The panelist’s experience and advice are invaluable, especially for someone who will be a beginner in the sports world. I think the event was really helpful and informative for students looking for a position in a growing sports industry.”
The event provided an opportunity for students to learn more about potential career paths and network with the panel, which encompassed professionals from a wide range of fields, including business, coaching, and medicine.
“Our annual Careers in Sports event is an excellent opportunity for students of all majors interested in pursuing a career in the sports industry,” Elizabethtown College Associate Director of the Career Development Center Carolyn Rigo said. “The event provided valuable insights into the skills required to become a competitive candidate and offered students a unique chance to network with current, local professionals.”
Panelists spoke about topics including their career paths, industry insights, and predictions for the future of their industries.
