Recently, Elizabethtown College’s Office of Marketing and Communications (OMC) was named as a recipient of a College and University Public Relations Association of Pennsylvania (CUPRAP) 2025 CUPPIE Award.

The department earned silver-level recognition in the Marketing/Advertising – Branding Campaign category for their innovative work to showcase the College’s 125th anniversary. It marked the second straight year that Etown received a Cuppie Award after earning gold-level recognition in the Wild Card category in 2024 for the design of a Blue Jay pop-up mailer.

“It is a tremendous honor to receive a CUPPIE Award for the second year in a row and a direct reflection of the creativity and innovation of the Marketing and Communications team,” Elizabethtown College Vice President for Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Communications Keri Straub said. “We aimed to honor the College’s 125th anniversary in a meaningful and visual way that all could identify this special milestone for our Etown community, providing creative resources that allowed everyone to take part in the celebration.”

The robust campaign celebrated the milestone year through the creation of a 125th Anniversary Brand with extensive assets and initiatives that included logos, outdoor graphics, wearable products, the 125th anniversary page, and social media campaign, along with numerous digital and print items.

This year, CUPRAP received 442 CUPPIE entries spanning nine different categories from colleges, universities, agencies, and providers of private, specialized, and secondary education. Judges represented experts in the field of communications and included designers, writers, educators, corporate executives, and media professionals.

Award winners were recognized at the annual CUPRAP Awards Dinner on March 13 in Lancaster.Since 2005, CUPRAP, a professional community committed to advancing higher education marketing and communications, has been awarding CUPPIE Awards for creative excellence in marketing and communications to the work of member institutions in the categories of advertising, electronic media, print, public relations and marketing, writing and photography.
