Elizabethtown College will host its annual spring Day of Service event on Friday, March 28 from 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. in Thompson Gym.

This campus-wide event will feature hundreds of Blue Jay students, employees, and alumni, along with surrounding community members, joining together to support community agencies by assembling care kits that will be distributed to Bethesda Mission, ECHOS, Water Street Mission, and Donegal Substance Abuse Alliance.  Register to participate.

Etown’s Center for Community and Civic Engagement (CCCE) is organizing the event, which will be in celebration of the College’s 125th anniversary and feature four one-hour and 15-minute sessions offered in Thompson Gym at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., and 12:30 p.m.

Service is an essential part of the Etown experience as the College’s Educate for Service motto guides campus community members through intentional action to make positive impacts on the lives of others. Each year, this commitment to service can be found through academic research, service trips around the world, and local, community-based projects.
