More than 30 Capital Area Intermediate Unit (IU) school districts in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, and northern York counties are eligible

Recently, Elizabethtown College’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS) announced a partnership with Capital Area Intermediate Unit (IU) to offer a 15% discount on tuition for undergraduate and graduate-level programs that enhance their skills and professional development of employees and their spouses and dependents, as well as the employees of the school districts served by Capital Area IU.

The partnership includes more than 30 eligible public school districts, career and technology centers, and charter schools from throughout Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, and northern York counties. A full list of eligible school districts can be viewed on etown.edu.

“The educators and employees in the Capital Area IU school districts provide incredible value to our community and the next generations of lifelong learners,” Elizabethtown College SGPS Director of Corporate Partnerships, Chris D’Imperio said. “We’re excited to be able to give back to them through greater access to the educational opportunities and benefits offered through Etown’s School of Graduate & Professional Studies.”

The tuition discount will apply to SGPS undergraduate and graduate-level programs, as well as the micro-credentialing platform Etown Edge, which offers over 300 affordable courses through self-paced modules across a variety of in-demand fields.

Etown’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies also offers several programs specific to the education field, including its recently launched Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership and Graduate Certificate in Higher Education.

For more than 70 years, SGPS has had a direct and positive impact on the workforce and economy of both Lancaster County and throughout the South-Central Pennsylvania region by offering convenient and flexible undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as micro-credential options specifically designed to meet the needs of busy working adults. Courses are taught by faculty who are working professionals in the fields in which they teach, ensuring that content is current and highly applicable.

SGPS works together with corporate, educational, and community partners from around the region to help build a powerful workforce and advance the careers of learners through the affinity partner program. Learn more about Elizabethtown College’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies.
