Discovery who has thrived throughout his career in news media by covering and producing events around the world. Bitz also works as a freelancer, taking pride in guiding students on how to build and adapt their careers in a rapidly evolving field.
“Elizabethtown College gave me the confidence to push myself beyond what I think I know, the curiosity to ask questions, and the ability to multi-task across numerous responsibilities.”
What defined your Etown experience?
My Etown experience was defined by the friends I made with classmates and professors, along with all the time I spent within the Communications culture happening around the Steinman Center. The time I spent as a Station Manager at ECTV and participating in campus media was a huge part of my college career.
How has your Etown degree benefitted you and your career success?
Elizabethtown College gave me the confidence to push myself beyond what I think I know, the curiosity to ask questions, and the ability to multi-task across numerous responsibilities. It was also the first time I had people working for me, instead of just with me, learning about how to motivate and drive a team.
How have you made a difference in the lives of others through your career and/or personal life?
I hope I have inspired others to grow beyond what they think they are capable of while keeping a cool head and a clear mind. I also hope I have inspired people to know it’s okay to ask questions and to feel confident and proud of what they’ve done or are doing.
What is your passion? Where do you place your energy besides your career?
Exploring the world and seeking out new adventures is something I’m truly passionate about. Travel has been at the heart of my wife’s and my life.
