On Sept. 14, 2006, hundreds gathered to celebrate the dedication of Elizabethtown College’s newest academic building, the $5.2 million James B. Hoover Center for Business.

Named for esteemed alumnus James B. Hoover ’75, founder of the investment firm Dauphin Capital Partners, the 30,000-square-foot center provides a dynamic learning environment for the School of Business also houses the Trostle Finance Laboratory, the Edward R. Murphy Center for the School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS) and the S. Dale High Center for Family Business.

The dedication recognized individuals, foundations, and businesses that helped make this important project a reality for Elizabethtown College, including James Shreiner ’73, G’24, H’24 chair of the Hoover Center campaign, for his leadership of the volunteer-driven effort. Highlighting the evening were the remarks of Hoover, S. Dale High ’63, and Edward Murphy P’01, H’12.
