College announces scholarship support and tuition discount for The College of Saint Rose students

Elizabethtown College is offering both undergraduate and graduate students of The College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y., an opportunity to complete their degrees with financial support through the recently announced The College of Saint Rose Fund. In addition, Elizabethtown College will provide a 20% discount for all School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS) undergraduate and graduate degree program offerings.

The College of Saint Rose students impacted by the institution’s recent announcement of closure following the 2023-24 academic year will be eligible to receive up to $24,000 in scholarship funds, including $19,000 in merit scholarships and $5,000 guaranteed for transfer students from Elizabethtown College, to help reduce the financial burden of transferring institutions.

“We want to support impacted students and create a process that is as seamless as possible during this unique time period,” Elizabethtown College Vice President for Marketing, Communications & External Relations; Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management, Keri Straub said. “Etown prides itself on ensuring a smooth transfer process for students joining our campus community by offering the financial resources and support structures needed to achieve their academic goals.”

Etown, which was recently honored as one of the nation’s most transfer-friendly schools for the third consecutive year by being named to the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society’s 2023 Transfer Honor Roll, provides access to resources to ensure that students looking to make a change have a smooth transition. The College offers 136 majors and minors along with more than 20 online graduate degrees and certificates through the School of Graduate and Professional Studies.

In addition to generous merit scholarship funding, Etown offers all transfer students:

  • A Transfer Book Scholarship, renewable for $500 per year ($250 per semester)
  • Guaranteed on-campus housing
  • An expert transfer team to help you understand our transfer credit policies and answer all your questions
  • Academic advisors who will help you choose your major or plan your schedule
  • A designated financial aid counselor to help make your education more affordable
  • Access to our Career Development Center that can provide assistance with exploring careers, securing internships, and applying for your first job
