College announces scholarship support and tuition discount for Cabrini University students

Elizabethtown College is offering both undergraduate and graduate students of Cabrini University an opportunity to complete their degrees with financial support through the recently announced Cabrini Scholarship Fund, along with a 20% discount for all School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS) undergraduate and graduate degree program offerings.

Cabrini students impacted by the university’s recent announcement of closure following the 2023-24 academic year will be eligible to receive up to $24,000 in scholarship funds including $19,000 in merit scholarships and $5,000 guaranteed for Cabrini transfer students, to help reduce the financial burden of transferring institutions. Etown will also offer a 20% discount for Cabrini graduate students transferring into all SGPS undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

“It is never welcome news to learn about the closing of a higher education institution and we understand how difficult a decision like this can be, especially for current students,” Elizabethtown College Vice President for Enrollment Management John Champoli said. “As a neighboring regional institution that shares Cabrini’s core values through our mission to Educate for Service, which prepares students to lead rich lives of purpose and meaning, we believe that Etown offers the right fit for students affected by this news.”

Etown, which was recently honored as one of the nation’s most transfer-friendly schools for the third consecutive year by being named to the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society’s 2023 Transfer Honor Roll, provides access to resources to ensure that students looking to make a change have a smooth transition. The College offers more than 150 undergraduate majors, minors, and concentrations along with more than 20 online graduate degrees and certificates through the School of Graduate and Professional Studies.

In addition to generous merit scholarship funding, Etown offers all transfer students:

  • A Transfer Book Scholarship, renewable for $500 per year ($250 per semester)
  • Guaranteed on-campus housing
  • An expert transfer team to help you understand our transfer credit policies and answer all your questions
  • Academic advisors who will help you choose your major or plan your schedule
