Elizabethtown College Professor of Psychology Michael Roy, and Assistant Professor of Psychology Elizabeth Dalton, together with 10 students traveled to the annual Association for Psychological Science (APS) Convention in Washington D.C. on May 25-28 to present their research.

“All of our students did a fantastic job of presenting their research,” Roy said. “Presenting research at conferences is a real point of distinction for our students that may want to go to graduate school at some time in the future since graduate programs value students who have participated in research. This convention was also a really nice way of celebrating all the hard work that the students did on their research project.”

In addition to presenting research, students engaged with other poster presenters and attended several engaging lectures at the conference. The trip also included opportunities for fun around Washington with daily group meals and even a quick trip to the zoo.

The 2023 APS Annual Convention is the premier global event in psychological science, attracting more than 2,000 researchers from around the world who share the latest discoveries and developments in a variety of fields.
