Elizabethtown College’s Office of Student Activities (OSA) is set to host Thank Goodness It’s Spring (TGIS) 2023 Weekend on Friday, April 21 through Saturday, April 22.
An annual celebration of spring’s arrival, the 49th anniversary of this cherished Etown tradition includes games, activities, and musical performances. This year’s theme is FunkEtown. Activities are provided at no cost for students registration is not required to participate.
TGIS 2023 Weekend Schedule
Etown Original Movies – Mx. Etown | Friday, April 21 at 7 p.m. | Leffler Chapel & Performance Center
This campus-wide pageant kicks off TGIS Weekend by offering students the opportunity to compete on behalf of their residence hall to win the audience vote and be crowned Mx. Etown! This year’s theme is Etown Original Movies. The event is free, family-friendly, and open to all.
Contestants include Mx. Apartments – Gavin McCabe ‘23, Mx. Brinser – Judas Foster ‘24, Mx. Founders – Aaron Oliver ‘25, Mx. Myer – Nick Wiley ‘25, Mx. Ober – Elizabeth Miles ‘25, Mx. Quads – Evan Schwab ‘23, and Mx. Schlosser – Phillip Patches ‘25.

Students are invited to join us for free t-shirts (available on a first-come, first-serve basis), yard games, a roller rink, archery, axe-throwing, and hungry hippos inflatables, along with an ice cream truck.
Mad Cow Senior Show | Saturday, April 22 | 4 to 5 p.m. | Gibble Auditorium
You won’t want to miss the final show of the year from our talented student comedy group Mad Cow Improv, who will be celebrating the achievements of their seniors with a side-splitting comedic performance in Gibble Auditorium.
FunkEtown – TGIS | Saturday, April 22 from 7 to 11 p.m. | Brinser Field
Students are welcomed back on Brinser Field in the evening for a performance by DJ ALWZ SNNY, yard games, fire pits, s’mores, popcorn, and the Jay Truck!
