The Elizabethtown College School of Business continued the 2023 Mars Wrigley Lecture Series on Friday, March 24 by welcoming alumna Rachel Wilson ’98 who serves as the CEO of CIC Health.
Wilson is an accomplished healthcare executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in academic health systems, specialty hospitals, large multi-specialty provider organizations, and start-up ventures. Opening the lecture by sharing her career path with a visual representation of peaks and valleys, Wilson explained that success is not a linear path and encouraged students to find a career that inspires them.
“The thread that has carried me through my journey is Etown’s Educate for Service motto,” Wilson, who majored in Occupational Therapy at Etown, said. “My ‘why’ is that I want people to have longer, better lives. It doesn’t matter if I’m an OT or CEO, that holds true.”
CIC Health is a public benefit corporation that launched in 2020 to provide accessible, equitable, and fast COVID–19 testing and vaccination services to communities across the United States.
In 2022, Wilson was also recently named the Aspen Institute Health Innovators Fellow and The Boston Globe’s Tech Power Players 50 Playlist. Following Etown, Wilson went on to earn a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
