Elizabethtown College’s theatre arts club, Sock and Buskin, will present Eugène Ionesco’s “Rhinoceros” for their spring production. “Rhinoceros” will be performed on March 23, 24, 30, 31, and April 1 at 7:30 p.m. and on March 26 at 2:30 p.m. in the Tempest Theatre.
“Each member of this company has risen to the challenge to make sure that the audience will be met with a theatrical experience that they won’t soon forget,” Guest director Griffin Yeyna said.
The play follows a small town in France as the inhabitants mysteriously start to turn into rhinoceroses. The main character, Berenger, stands alone against the chaotic force of the animals as the town’s social order is flipped and the world as they knew it is now unrecognizable.
Tickets are $8 for Etown students and employees and $10 for general admission. They are available online and at the Tempest Theatre box office.
