Elizabethtown College Associate Professor of Biology Anya Goldina was honored with the 2021-2022 Engaging Educator Award.

Presented by the Etown Student Senate, the award is intended to recognize an outstanding faculty member for their dedication to engaging students in and out of the classroom, as well as their ability to foster close, meaningful relationships with their students.

“I am honored and humbled to be the recipient of the Engaging Educator Award,” Goldina said. “I love being in the classroom and having the opportunity to work with Etown students. It is my personal challenge to make the classes I teach interesting, relevant, and engaging, in spite of the content difficulty. I am constantly inspired by my students; while I teach them science, they teach me popular culture references that I can bring into the classroom. Thus, every class is a collaborative effort!”
