Skillen Appointed Dean of Faculty & Associate Provost for Student Learning at Elizabethtown College

Dr. Matthew “Matt” Skillen

Elizabethtown College announced the appointment of Dr. Matthew “Matt” Skillen as the Dean of Faculty & Associate Provost for Student Learning at Elizabethtown College. Skillen will officially begin his new role on June 15.

Skillen has been an integral member of the faculty at Etown since 2009 teaching various English courses and also offering his expertise on a national level through presentations and published articles. From 2007 to 2009 he served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Kansas State University and prior to that role he was a Middle School Language Arts Teacher from 2003 to 2007. 

He earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Kansas State University, and both a Masters of Arts in Teaching and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.
