Recent Elizabethtown College graduates Emma Gaughan ’22, Olivia Gaughan ’22, and Meghan Glaspey ’22 have been accepted into the fall 2022 Disney College Program (DCP).
The DCP is a competitive five-to-seven-month internship at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Each year, nearly 12,000 students apply for each of the DCP start date options, but only approximately 20 percent are accepted.
The trio of Blue Jays will live on the Disney property and be assigned to work at one of the four major parks or Disney hotels. While there, they will have the opportunity to take career development classes in areas such as networking, event operations, and personal branding at Disney University.
Emma, Olivia, and Meghan will begin working this August and finish the program in late-January, or early-February 2023. They will not know their exact roles, until closer to the start of the program.
“We’re all very excited to start an experience of a lifetime,” Meghan said.
Following completion of the program, Meghan, an Occupational Therapy graduate, plans to begin her career in the field, while Public Relations graduates Olivia and Emma hope to secure roles with Disney – Olivia working for Disney’s partnership with the Make-A-Wish-Foundation and Emma pursuing events operations in the park.
