Elizabethtown College will welcome the Founder and President of the Ocean Exploration and Discoverer of RMS Titanic, Robert D. Ballard, on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, at 7:30 p.m. in the Leffler Chapel and Performance Center, located on Etown’s campus.

Elizabethtown College’s 2021-22 Lecture Series is one of the region’s most notable programs. The Lecture Series continues a rich tradition of the institution hosting speakers who provide audiences the opportunity to be enlightened, engaged, and entertained.

Among the most accomplished and well-known of the world’s deep-sea explorers, Dr. Robert Ballard is best known for his historic discoveries of hydrothermal vents, the sunken RMS Titanic, the German battleship Bismarck, and numerous other contemporary and ancient shipwrecks around the world. During his long career, he has conducted more than 150 deep-sea expeditions using the latest in exploration technology. He is currently a National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence.

The College also will feature other individuals during the Lecture Series including:
