Two Elizabethtown College alumnae were among five finalists for the 2021 Harford County (Maryland) Teacher of the Year award. A surprise announcement of the winner will take place during this year’s virtual celebration, scheduled for April 21.
Kerrie Bauer ’98 graduated from Etown with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. She currently holds a position as a mathematics instructor at Aberdeen High School and has worked in education for 23 years. Bauer was also a finalist for Teacher of the Year in 2006.
Sarah Scholl ’05 graduated from Etown with a bachelor’s degree in English education and is in her 15th year at Havre de Grace Middle School where she serves as a school librarian. She was a 2015 curriculum award winner.
