The latest issue of Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity and the Arts (PACA) includes papers by Elizabethtown faculty members and students. Meghan Jones ’12; Dr. Michael Roy, associate professor of psychology; and Dr. Jay Verkuilen, City College of New York, published “The relationship between reflective rumination and musical ability.” Jones, a doctoral student at University of North Carolina, received Honors in the Discipline for this project.
Victoria McCollum ’14 and Dr. Jean Pretz, associate professor of psychology, published “Self-perceptions of creativity do not always reflect actual creative performance.” McCollum conducted this work in E-town’s summer Scholarship, Creative Arts and Research Projects (SCARP) program. PACA, published by the American Psychological Association, is ranked second of 228 journals in visual and performing arts.
