Rick Basom, Office of Sponsored Research and Programs, and the Recharging Gambia project were featured in a Dec. 9 post on the Innovation Transfer Network’s blog, “Crowdfunding is New at Elizabethtown College”.

 

Kurt DeGoede, Physics and Engineering, was featured in the Dec. 20 edition of the Central Pennsylvania Business Journal. He and a few students were interviewed about an interdisciplinary, international project for the article “Elizabethtown students solving Gambian cellphone problem.”

 

Dean of Faculty E. Fletcher McClellan, who also teaches political science, was interviewed by Lancaster Newspapers for the article “Why Newton school massacre failed to spark change” which ran in the Dec. 13, 2013 issue.

 

Donald Kraybill appeared in The Christian Science Monitor on Jan. 2, quoted in the article “Father of slain girl forgives Colorado shooter. Is that helpful?”.

 

W. Wesley McDonald, Political Science, appeared on WITF’s Radio Smart Talk on Dec. 20, where he discussed the political implications of the Congressional bipartisan budget deal. He also was quoted in the Pittsburgh Daily News on Jan. 5 is the article “Dollars likely to determine who stays in Dem governor’s race in Pennsylvania.
