On Sept. 16, an E-town NOW story featured the College’s Sukkah Celebration. Dr. Amy Milligan, coordinator of the Sukkah project, sent in a picture of the Sukkah to the Huffington Post. The photo was chosen to be featured in the Huffington Post’s “Hillel Sukkahs Raised for Sukkot 2013” slideshow. Read more on the story and see the photo here.

Dr. E. Douglas Bomberger
, professor of musicology and chair of Department of Fine and Performing Arts was featured Sept. 22 in “E-town music prof to discuss his book on Columbia music prof.” The article highlights his book’s mass appeal and his talk “’Like a Dog Standing on His Hind Legs’: Edward MacDowell and Columbia University.”

George Bishop, author of “The Night of the Comet,” and upcoming speaker at E-town’s Bowers Writers House, was featured on Sept. 22 as part of LancasterOnline’s “Bookends,” a weekly wrap up of all things literary in the Lancaster area. Bishop’s talk will cover strategies for creating fiction writing and include readings of his novel.

President Carl J. Strikwerda was included in a  Harrisburg Magazine article, “The Ten,” published in its September issue. In the article, 10 college presidents in the region were asked to answer a question about what they believed are the most important life lessons for students to take away from their college experience. This question was asked in response to a graduation speech given last May, at Kenyon College in Ohio, by award-wining writer David Foster Wallace.
