Elizabethtown College recently announced its eight-member incoming cohort of Stamps Scholars for the 2026-27 academic year.

“I am thrilled to welcome these talented students to the Etown community,” Jean Pretz, Director of the Elizabethtown College Stamps Scholars Program and Professor of Psychology, said. “They are academically talented and accomplished leaders, each with their own passion to make an impact on their community through service. I am excited to help them find their place at Etown and grow through the Stamps program to extend their impact beyond our campus.”

The most prestigious merit award offered at Etown, the Stamps Scholarship provides a select group of accomplished first-year students with a full scholarship as well as an enrichment fund that can be used toward leadership development, study abroad, internships, and other student-driven initiatives. The Stamps Scholarship is awarded to students who exemplify dedicated leadership, perseverance, scholarship, service, and innovation.

Stamps Scholars are leaders across the Etown community, contributing through student government, athletics, and service initiatives both on and off campus. In spring 2026, a record nine Etown Stamps Scholars earned campus awards, including the College’s prestigious Points of Distinction Award, the highest honor awarded to current students.

A total of 13 students studied abroad during the 2025-26 academic year, while 10 Stamps Scholars presented at the College’s Scholarship and Creative Arts Days (SCAD). Recent graduates from the Class of 2026 are advancing their education at prestigious institutions such as Howard University School of Medicine and Johns Hopkins University, while others have accepted positions in industries aligned with their fields of study.
