Elizabethtown College will host its 48th annual Student Award Ceremony, highlighting student excellence throughout the academic year. This event is will take place on Wednesday, April 15, at 6 p.m. in Gibble Auditorium.

All Etown students, faculty, staff, as well as family members of the honored students, are encouraged to attend the ceremony and celebrate this year’s recipients.

“Recognizing student achievement is essential to celebrating academic excellence and the dedication our students bring to learning,” Amy Berra, Senior Assistant for Student Life, said. “Their accomplishments reflect the strength of our community and our shared commitment to education. I am excited to celebrate the remarkable students who attend Elizabethtown College.”

The Student Award Ceremony presents awards to Blue Jays to recognize mentorship within Etown’s student community across various areas of campus.

Notable awards include the Points of Distinction Award, the highest Student Life honor a senior student can receive at Etown; Student Life Awards; Student Employment Awards; the Blueprint Program recognition, among several additional categories.

Students are nominated for many of these awards through nominations by the campus community.

In 1978, an initiative was made to recognize an outstanding male and female in the senior class, which was previously presented at the annual Junior/Senior Dinner Dance. This long-standing tradition will now approach its 48th annual celebration.
