Elizabethtown College will host its annual Relay For Life event on Saturday, March 21, from 3 to 9 p.m. in the Bowers Center Field House. Presented by the student chapter of Colleges Against Cancer, this year’s “Wish Upon A Cure” theme will feature Disney-inspired decorations and games.

The event is open to Etown students and community members. A $25 donation is required to participate in the event, and all proceeds from the donations go to the American Cancer Society for cancer research and patient care. Register to attend.

“Fundraising and hosting Relay for Life greatly impacts the community because every dollar raised counts and can make an impact on someone with cancer and their family,” Lauryn Wargo ’26, Vice President of Etown’s CAC organization said.

Two guest speakers who are cancer survivors will be sharing their experiences and reflections on the impact cancer has had on their lives. Additionally, there will be performances from campus groups, including Melica, Boot Scootin’ Jays, and the Dance Team, a chance to pie an Etown professor or friend, and a hair-cutting donation ceremony. There will also be a Luminaria lantern lighting ceremony to honor those who are affected by cancer and to remember loved ones who have been lost.

Relay For Life is a nonprofit, volunteer-run fundraiser that has been running for over 40 years. The fundraiser celebrates cancer survivors and caregivers, while also honoring the people who lost their battle to cancer.

Potential donors or attendees can find out more information about the event through Etown’s chapter of CAC on Instagram (@etowncac) or by contacting them at cac@etown.edu .
