The Elizabethtown College Dance Team is hosting its annual charity show, One Elle of a Night, on Saturday, March 14 at 8 p.m., in the Leffler Chapel and Performance Center.
One Elle of a Night raises money and awareness for the Elle Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to granting wishes to children with recurring cancer and terminal illness.
The event is open to both the Etown campus and the surrounding community members. Tickets will be sold at the door and will cost $5 for students and $7 for community members. As an additional fundraising option, the team will present raffle baskets for attendees to purchase.
“One of the biggest successes is seeing so many people come together to raise money,” Gabby Petridge ’27, the Dance Team captain, said. “We love seeing the chapel full as it can get with people who want to support a good cause!”
Etown’s Dance Team will perform several of their favorite dances from this past year. Additional groups performing this year will include Emotion, Phalanx, Vocalign, Melica, and E-dance, a children’s dance studio.
Raising money for the Elle Foundation allows the organization to grant children with terminal recurrence of cancer their final wishes. This was the wish of the founders’ daughter, Lauren, nicknamed Elle, who passed after her own fight with cancer.
