Elizabethtown College’s School of Engineering and Computer Science recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Drexel University College of Engineering to establish graduate pathways for Etown students pursuing an advanced degree.

“Our new Graduate Preferred Partner Pathway with Drexel University gives Etown students a streamlined and supported path to graduate study in engineering and computing,” Elizabethtown College Dean of the School of Engineering and Computer Science Sara Atwood said. “With Drexel University serving as a location in a region where many of our graduates already live and work, this agreement connects our students to a vibrant, professionally focused graduate environment, and extends the impact of their Etown experience into the next phase of their careers.”

After completing core requirements and earning a bachelor’s degree from the School of Engineering and Computer Science with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher, Etown students applying for admission to graduate programs within the Drexel University College of Engineering will receive competitive fellowship funding.

The agreement also reduces application barriers for Etown students through a waived application fee and waived GRE scores.

Etown’s School of Engineering and Computer Science emphasizes a broad technical foundation, offering thriving programs, multidisciplinary engineering, artificial intelligence, software development, and information systems.

The College’s innovative Engineering program recently earned national recognition in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings. The program was ranked #46 (tie) in the nation and fourth in Pennsylvania among undergraduate engineering programs (no doctorate). This marks a seven-spot jump from last year and an impressive climb of nearly 100 places since 2019.
