Two Elizabethtown College Engineering majors were recently awarded Women in Tech scholarships from the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania.
Munia Kamal ’27 earned the $1,000 Traditional Scholarship, awarded annually to two women college students pursuing a degree in a technology-related field of study. Taylor Strader ’26 earned the $2,000 Non-Traditional Scholarship, awarded to one non-traditional age woman enrolled in a full-time tech-related associate or bachelor’s degree program.
Strader, who is attending Etown while raising her two young sons, plans to pursue a career in aerospace mechanical design.
“Elizabethtown College has given me the knowledge, confidence, and support to pursue my dreams in engineering,” Strader said. “This scholarship inspires me to break barriers as a woman in technology and use my passion to make a meaningful impact in the engineering field.”
