Natalie ’22 and Sam Blanton ’22, as Rev. Amy Shorner-Johnson officiates their wedding.

As we celebrate Elizabethtown College’s 125th anniversary, we’re sharing the favorite stories of our alumni, students, staff, and faculty during their time at Etown. Whether it’s a funny anecdote from your dorm days, a moment of mentorship from a class or professor, or a standout experience from a campus event, these stories submitted by members of the Blue Jay community not only commemorate the rich history of our institution but also serve as a reminder of the lasting impact that Elizabethtown College has had on the lives of so many individuals.

Your Stories: Natalie Blanton ’22 – Music Education (Voice)

I met my now-husband Sam during orientation activities in the fall of 2018 and we started dating a few days later. We have been inseparable since New Student Orientation, and we got married in August 2024. Elizabethtown College Chaplain & Director of Spiritual and Religious Life Rev. Amy Shorner-Johnson was our officiant! During our time at Etown, we were crowned Homecoming King and Queen in 2021. I decided to come back to Etown to pursue a Master of Music Education (MME) degree, so I am both a proud alumna and a student!

Be a part of the celebration of 125 years of excellence at Etown by sharing your Etown story.
