Elizabethtown College’s School for Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS) is preparing future education leaders in the emerging fields of artificial intelligence (AI), educational technology, best practices in online learning, and cybersecurity through the recently launched Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence and Educational Technology Leadership.
“To prepare our future generations, educators must be at the forefront of innovation,” Elizabethtown College Dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies Marcy McCarty said. “By embracing AI and technology, they can create dynamic, engaging, and personalized learning environments that inspire students to reach their full potential, utilize technology to problem-solve, and become responsible digital citizens.”
The five-course,15-credit online program can be completed in as little as one year and is tailored for professionals within K-12 education, educational technology, higher education, training and development, and interdisciplinary industries. The certificate empowers educators to advance their careers by equipping them with cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills to integrate AI and technology into diverse learning environments while fostering personalized learning experiences that drive success.
Participants will explore emerging AI trends, innovative online and blended learning practices, and strategies to enhance student engagement and outcomes, positioning themselves as leaders in education and technology-driven instruction.

All credits earned through the certificate can be stacked into Etown’s M.Ed. in Educational Leadership providing a streamlined pathway to a master’s degree. Classes begin on May 12, 2025.
