Two Elizabethtown College School of Graduate and Professional Studies alumni were recently named to the Central Penn Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 list. Krista M. Root MBA ’18 and Melissa Stiles MBA ’19 both received the honor.

The Forty Under 40 list recognizes and celebrates innovative leaders from Central Pennsylvania under the age of 40. Honorees are selected annually based on their professional accomplishments, community service, and commitment to inspiring change.

Winners will be recognized at an awards celebration on Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Hilton in Harrisburg, Pa.

Krista M. Root ’18 — Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Root has served as a Regional Product Manager- Commercial Lines at Donegal Insurance Group for the last five years. Prior to her current position, Root worked for Donegal Insurance Group as a Personal Lines Underwriter and a Commercial Lines Underwriter. Root is involved in her community as a mentor in the Lancaster Chamber’s Women in Business Mentoring program and as a volunteer at STEM and Financial Literacy Programs at Junior Achievement of South Central Pa.

Melissa Stiles ’18 — Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Stiles is the Chief Marketing Officer for self-storage management and consulting firm Storage Asset Management. She started at Storage Asset Management in 2014 as the vice president of marketing and sales and was promoted to her current role in 2022. Prior to her current company, Stiles worked as a trade specialist for World Trade Center Harrisburg and as a Marketing Manager for York Saw and Knife Co., Inc.
