(L-R): Occupational Therapy alumnae Erin DeBrosse, Angela Hammert, Laiken Dowling, and Ashley Hahn (Cox)
As we celebrate Elizabethtown College’s 125th anniversary, we’re sharing the favorite stories of our alumni, students, staff, and faculty during their time at Etown. Whether it’s a funny anecdote from your dorm days, a moment of mentorship from a class or professor, or a standout experience from a campus event, these stories submitted by members of the Blue Jay community not only commemorate the rich history of our institution but also serve as a reminder of the lasting impact that Elizabethtown College has had on the lives of so many individuals.
Ashley Hahn (Cox) ’16, M’17 – Occupational Therapy
What a joy it is to recall precious memories from my Elizabethtown College experience! One of my most memorable experiences still to this day is my time in the Momentum Program. I created deep, impacted memories and relationships that carried me through my years there (Sara, Isaiah, and Amelia to name a few!) We were able to explore who we were away from home, reflect on our skills through Strengths Quest, and have late-night fun in a campus-wide scavenger hunt!
Erin DeBrosse, Laiken Dowling, Angela Hammert, and I all became good friends during our studies of Occupational Therapy, with many late nights in the library on the third floor! We liked it quiet and calm while studying side-by-side, with stops here and there for chatting about academic topics and the latest campus events. There is nothing like having a strong group of ladies who are smart and kind to help you through the highs and lows of undergrad and graduate studies!
Be a part of the celebration of 125 years of excellence at Etown by sharing your Etown story.
